Hi there,
I want to know if it is conveniently possible to enable maintenance mode on entire site(default) but except on one page.
Here’s what I want to do:
I want to showcase a launch offer on any one page (eg. mysite.com/xyz) and bring traffic on this page. But do not want to show other pages of the site(Maintenance mode to take care of this). Later when the offer gets over(after few days) I’ll disable Maintenance mode and remove page mysite.com/xyz from site
Can you pls suggest me some way of doing this? I also thought of making the launch offer at xyz.mysite.com but this might get complicated due to new wordpress installation
Please help!
P.S. Does the site gets de-indexed (affects SEO) during maintenance mode?

Hi,
You can create a page and set visibility status as private or password protect http://take.ms/HrmUl.
I think the search robot can’t index the page when you set private or password protect.

Harry, thanks for the suggestion. But I’m afraid that keeping the page private or password protected would be upsetting for incoming paid traffic. Is there any other alternative?

No Problem, Harry. I have found the following two plugins that allows to ‘exclude URL’s from Maintenance mode’
2> Maintenance
Thanks!
