Mobile version loading full-size images

I am optimizing the site for mobile and it appears that the theme is serving full size images for the homepage and shop pages, whereas the desktop version is serving the 370px x 370px thumbnails (much smaller and optimized).

If I run a test on Google Developer tools for page speed I get a 93/100 rating for desktop, but only 43/100 for mobile. I don’t want the site getting penalized because of poor mobile loading times:

Is there any reason why the mobile site is using the full size images like this and not the thumbnails?

Please let me know if there is a way of using the smaller version of these images.

You can try this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/adaptive-images/ or search keyword adaptive image.

But why can’t the theme provide thumbnail images for mobile like it does for desktop? If this is a responsive theme then it should be optimised for mobile use. I really don’t want to keep adding plugins.

Sorry for inconvenience, this is difficult issue. we not sure can implement in theme. We will check if can we will do for future update.
