SEARCH FEATURE SHOWS SMALL BOX AND THEN DISAPPEARS TO FULL PRODUCT PAGE

Hello, When I click on the search icon on my site, it opens the full screen with the blank to type in. When I type in the keyword to search, the search box with the small thumbnail list quickly appears and then disappears, and it takes me to a products page that I am not sure where/how to configure. There is definitely some type of redirect error going on in there.
