Repeated categories on shop page

Hi

I have duplicate products categories showing on the shop page but in the page editor I only have one block with product categories selected . I can’t see how to delete the top set of categories showing.

Hi Claire,

Please go to Appearance > Widgets > Categories Menu Sidebar and delete Product Categories widget.

Thank you for getting back to me, however I’m sorry but feeling a bit stupid here, under widgets I don’t appear to have a Categories menu sidebar unless you mean the list of available widgets and if so are you asking me to delete or move to inactive the product categories widget?
