      Hi,

I checked demo sites, and their performance in Google Insights are quite okey, except maybe on the table version, but with my site it’s just totally terrible.  I use optimised pictures, I don’t know what other things I should make compared to your demo site…

Please, help, now the website is kind of useless…

      Thanks,

      Regina

      Hi,

I used all the plugins you recommended to improve performance. I also changed a few things on the server. But it’s still superslow.

And the problem is, that even the admin is superslow. I used quick edit for one of the products and it has been loading already for 3 minutes… Could you check what causes this?

My other problem is, that I need category pictures for this page (on the top you can see the categories): http://cascara.hu/szabokalyha/webaruhaz/

And the theme uses the same picture for the category (under the title)http://cascara.hu/szabokalyha/termekkategoria/cserepkalyhak/

But like this I have to use much bigger photos for the category pictures, which also makes the user interface slow. Could we do something with this?

It would be really urgent to solve this performance problem as we want to start the website, but I can not give it like this to the customer…

      Thanks,

      Regina

      Hi Regina,

I have just take a look on your site, The problem caused by your image, all the image is very large, for example: http://take.ms/F6X4z

Problem-related to product category image: You can use Regenerate Thumbnails plugin to generate your image size once again, It will fix the first problem. Before running this plugin please decrease the image size here http://take.ms/g9nun7

      Best regards

      Hi Foster,

This will solve the problem on the admin page as well?

      Thanks,

      Regina

      Hi Regina,
I think no because the image affect to the frontend only. May be you need to change the hosting. But as I saw your backend is good, it’s not really slow.

      Hi Foster,

First of all thanks a lot for your advices. I still have problems with the category images, but maybe before I wasn’t enough specific. So, if you check the attached images, you can see that I use your built-in feature which shows the categories with pictures (pic1) above the products. But the same image is used for the title image when you go inside the category. For the first case (pic3) a smaller image would be fine, but then it’s just too small for the title image (pic2).

Oh, and it’s the same with the portfolio images…

      Hi.

We check and saw this. You can use the image with smaller size, because the image on header will auto fit with width of browser to cover content.

      Hi Harry,

Sure, but I think it will be pixelated. Which size do you recommend?

      Thanks,

      Regina
