Hi there,
I have set up the currency rates, enabled Currency in the theme options header, but I can’t see any currency option on my site.

Hi,
Please download attach file and extract to claue-child > views > header
and add below code to claue > theme Option > general layout > Custom CSS
.header-5 .jas-currency { margin-top: 20px; } .header-5 .jas-currency ul { width: 100%; left: 0; right: 0; top: 120%; } .header-5 .jas-currency:hover ul { top: 100%; }

Extracting the header white screened my site just leaving the header part of the menu with an error saying it couldn’t find my sites base currency.
I have had to rename the file.

Hi Harry, sorry did you mean to attach a new file for me to add to Claue-child? Not sure what you mean by ‘old file layout-5.php.

Hi Karen,
I checked your site and saw you change name of file layout-5.php to layout-51.php
Please change to layout-5.php and use attached file on on February 24, 2018 at 11:01 pm.

But that’s what I already did previously and it white screened my site.
I had to immediately rename the file to get my site back as we can be down for a minute and I get tonnes of complaints as we are a very active site.

Because the account you sent can’t permission to edit file so i have to send you file and can’t check.

Hi Harry,
Yes sorry I’m having an issue with editing files so have to go through FTP (my host is trying to help)
I did add the file but it broke my site so had to rename it. I have just changed it back to layout-5.php for a second to re test and my site white screens again (so have had to rename it back to layout-51.php)
Please see attached screenshot so you can see what the problem is.

I’ve updated woocommerce for you π
I then tried renaming the layout-5s.php to layout-5.php in my themes but it gave me a white screen again so the update did not fix the problem sadly.
Any other ideas?

Thats great, thanks for solving Foster.
However, there is now another problem sorry. As the currency menu appears on ‘hover over’ it covers up my left hand menu meaning customers can’t select the options under the currency menu (see screenshot). The ‘NEW’ products option is the most visited page after the home page too.
Also clicking the currency menu on mobiles, displays the currency menu shifted to the right so users will miss the currency options as they are almost hidden (see screenshot)

Are you playing on my site as I’m getting tonnes of complaints that our site has white screened again π
As per previous screenshot saying ‘Can not get rate of base currency.’
Please be careful playing on our VERY ACTIVE website as everyone notices straight away if there is anything wrong.

I checked your site on my computer when enable currency it still work well.
Is your site now using Cloud cache?
Please try to clear cache from your server.

I only use WP Super Cache plugin for caching.
As soon as currency is enabled in wp-admin the whole site white screens apart from the header. -

I enable currency option and check on my browser it still work well
I checked on Chrome, Safari, Firefox on Mac it still work well.

Hi Harry,
I don’t understand how it’s working for you and yet when i enable it, within seconds I’m getting tonnes of complaints from our visitors and sellers based worldwide – no one can use the site as it’s white screened.
What can be done to fix this as I’ve already promised my vendors they will have the currency options very soon…

I’ve just turned currency on and it’s working fine now – yippee! π
So it’s just the display issues that need sorting now (but I think when this was worked on is when I ended up with a white screen). So can you send me the CSS to add, so that if I need to I can remove the CSS if it causes the site to white screen again?
The display issues affect mobile and desktop and can be found in my replyΒ #17816

Just to add…
I’d like the currency drop down to only display when the user CLICKS on the currency option rather than hover over as the drop down menu is then displaying and hiding my main menu.

I’m assuming you tried to change something today as I came home to loads of complaints again that the site had white screened with a note about not being able to get the base currency.

The currency is working today without white screening my site – have you done something or removed any CSS?
Thank you if you have fixed it π
So all that’s needed now is the display fixed on mobile devices (see screenshot) so that the currency options aren’t hidden.
Also can you let me know if the currency checks where the user is located to auto change the currency to the countries currency or not?

The site white screened again so the currency is not working ( I have updated the Claue theme as requested but still doesn’t work)
Also we need currency functionality that identifies which country the user is from and automatically changes the currency.
So I’ve given up with your currency and will look for a plug in π
