NEED HELP TO UPDATE MY THEME

Hi there, I would like to update my theme without loosing my settings but I can not.

I’ve follow this tutorial http://shopify.janstudio.net/claue/document/#2-updating-the-theme but still, does not work.

So I don’t know if it’s just me or if everyone has difficulty to do it.

 

My theme is v1.0.1 and I would like the latest which is v1.0.7

It now you running 2 version of theme on your site. You have to override files in old version to update. You only upload new version but still publish old version.

Please copy all code of “claue-from-janstudio” to “copy of Baseus Gear Live”. After you done please publish “copy of Baseus Gear Live” and change name it to Baseus Gear Live

I would like to update the theme and because the envato plugin seems to be not working I was looking for a manual how to update the theme manually.

However, all instructions I found do not work for me. If I try to upload the theme again WP comes up with the following error:

 

 

which makes sense as it is installed already.

So how do I update my theme?

Hi Chris,

Please go to Appearance > Theme and activate default theme. After that delete current Claue theme and reinstall with new package.
