Hi, the search box on the home page appears to search only pages, not forums and knowledgebase. This appears to be the case not only on my installation but on the demo site as well: http://janstudio.net/helpdesk/
How can I alter the search functionality to search the entire site? Thanks.

Hi,
Thank you for purchase!
You can enable search function for Knowledge Base and Forum by go to JanStudio > Theme Option > Knowledge Base, Forum > Enable Search > On.
Best regards

This answer is incorrect. What this does — Theme Option > Knowledge Base, Forum > Enable Search > On — is add a search box to the top of the Knowledge Base page and the Forum page. What I am asking about is the search box on the **home** page. Thank you.

Hi,
Sorry for miss understood.
You mean now your homepage don’t have search box and you want display it?
You can add search form on any page by add “Search form” element using VC https://monosnap.com/file/ZoKOJAFaQJ4IBlwffhz9vPWeOYcCmh#

The search box already does display. My question is about the search ***results***. Thank you.

This is not necessary, because the same issue happens on your theme demo site, at this url: http://janstudio.net/helpdesk/
You may test it as follows:
1. Go to http://janstudio.net/helpdesk/
2. Click “Forums” to go to http://janstudio.net/helpdesk/forums/
3. In the search box, type “avada”
4. Note results
5. Go back to home page at http://janstudio.net/helpdesk/
6. In the search box, type “avada”
7. Note results — they are DIFFERENT. The homepage search does NOT include the forum results.

Hi,
Sorry for late reply.
1. The search on homepage will display results of all (topics, knowledge base articles, blog post)
2. The search on forum use search function of bbPress and only display topics of forum in results to save time search
So the result different.
Best regards

Ok, thanks. It would be great, in a future release, if there were a way for one master search function to search the whole site. In the meantime, I’ve just removed the search box from my homepage, so all is well. Feel free to set this topic as resolved.
