My customers are having issues trying to upload files (PNG, JPG, AI, PDF, EPS) on the individual product page. None of them work;
https://www.fallfordesign.com/product/custom-logo-stamp/
We receive no errors after upload, but the item fails to be added to the shopping cart.
Any advise on how we can fix?
Thanks!

Thanks – but submitting the file IS a requirement or this item has no point in being purchased and the whole theme itself has lost it’s purpose to being functional.
How can this be fixed, properly? How can my customers upload a file with Claue theme?

You can ask support from plugin, it not related to theme. The plugin (create upload field) control this action.

Thanks! I’ll check with WooCommere Support. It’s the WooCommerce Product Add-On plugin that we use. I’ll keep you posted.

Hi There!
WooCommerce said that their plugin is working as it should – and suggested I try a different theme. I switched back to my old theme, and uploading a file to the item in order to add it to my shopping cart.
Attached is proof that marking the field as “required” which demands a buyer to upload an image, in order to add the item to their shopping cart, works fine on my old theme.However with, Claue, it simply will not work. Claue will not allow the file to be attached or uploaded to the order.. How can we get this fixed? It’s truly a bug with Claue theme.

Sorry because the issue.
Because the upload field doesn’t support Ajax add to cart.
Now i disabled Ajax add to cart at WooCommerce > Settings > Product > Display > Add to cart behavior
https://monosnap.com/file/Lsi8HnxzwuvXZRRY49XxwUOy65VD4d#
It now working well.
Best regards

Thanks – but we’re not there yet. We still have the exact same issue. All I am seeing in the replies above is “workarounds” but no permanent fix. I want a permanent fix that doesn’t disable everything things which leads to additional problems – I want the original problem fixed.
Let me first say; The old theme worked fine with the Ajax support and can upload the art to the shopping cart – but Claue’s Shopping Cart can’t handle the AJAX support AND the option for the buyer to upload an image to the product via the product page.
The new problem; Disabling the AJAX breaks the Claue theme – the mini slide to cart option now vanishes and is replaced with an ugly green “add to cart” confirmation bar at the bottom of the page. I want the mini-slide to cart option to remain the same as advertised AND include the option for a buyer to upload art on the product page via WooCommerce Product-Add Ons plugin.
Let me break it down more bluntly; you guys need to fix the shopping cart of the theme, so files can be uploaded to the product page and added to the shopping cart WITH Ajax support enabled; so this way the slide-out shopping cart stays in tact.
Now, how can we make sure this gets done properly?
I saw on the forums there is a lead tech named “Foster.” Can he step in please, and advise for a fix on this?

Hi again,
Could you please give us the old theme name as you said above?
-
May 31, 2017 at 10:01 pm #4823
This is the old theme;
https://restored316designs.com/product/blossom-theme/
When I switched to the old theme, and back to Claue – I had to pretty much re-worked my whole website to get all the widgets/custom media sizes for the product display back to how they were originally set up. I won’t be able to switch back to the old theme.
BTW, since turning off the AJAX on Claue – my blog page header images also do not work at the top of the page (where it shows the first three blog posts as a “header”).

Hope you understand.

Hi There!
Yes, the AJAX has been disabled with Claue in order to get the file-upload to work with Claue. However, disabling the AJAX breaks my blog page “header” where it shows those three images up on top; https://www.fallfordesign.com/blog
As far as switching back to the old theme;
All I did was switch the themes in wordpress. All I did was activate it – but in doing so I lost all my product size images customization, and my widgets fell apart. I had to rebuild all of it so I do not recommend switching back to the old theme again. When I switched themes, I tested the product to upload a file to it – and it worked perfect like it originally did before I started using Claue. I didn’t disable any AJAX on my old theme. I also have an active e-commerce on this website so I wouldn’t suggest testing anything out further on my actual website for the sake of my customers. 🙂
I did some google search on this, and google says that javascript can stop/abort certain AJAX from working (meaning javascript built inside of Claue, can stop the product image-upload in the WooCommerce Product Add-On plugin from working, when AJAX is enabled). Maybe check there in the javascript of Claue?

Hi,
Problem with featured images on blog page caused by Jetpack plugin, this one http://take.ms/pHXAN , It changes your image link, something like this https://i1.wp.com/www.fallfordesign.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/christmasvacationsale-01.jpg?fit=2700%2C3300&ssl=1
So our script can’t crop the image with the non-standard links. If you want to keep this plugin, I will provide you another solution.
Regarding the issue with switch theme, that’s a strange issue, I have tested many times on our local dev site, it still working normally, Could you kindly check once again on the another site?

I am really getting irate over the constant incompetence from Claue’s “help” support.

Okay – so then you guys need to fix it for your script to work because the Media option HAS to be turned on, or else the website is super slow. It’s an e-commerce website with a lot of products, and a lot of products require a lot of photos. A lot of photos require SLOW load time. And in order to turn on page speed – the media has to be linked off-site to speed up the website.
So – you’re saying Claue will only operate on websites where the speed is slow and images are hosted on the webserver – therefore Claue theme will end up hurting our google rank just to get the Claue theme to function properly. In other words – if we want to rank in google search engines – we better go buy a better Theme that is capable of working with ALL of Woocommerce and ALL of Woocommerce’s Plugins, including all of WordPress Plugins like JetPack that helps e-commerce themes run faster (which WooCommerce supports Jetpack btw just because it helps e-commerce stores run faster).

Why would I change back to my old theme again and break my website again, when I already said that the old theme is working fine and that Claue is causing the issue? Why would I repeat a step when I already completed this step? I want to move forward, not backwards.
As far as the JetPack – I want to keep ALL MY PLUGINS and keep them in working order. I only want to CHANGE TO CLAUE THEME. Is is impossible for Claue to function properly with any plugins? I’m not exactly sure what “another solution” you may be referencing either;
A) Get rid of JetPack or
B) Something else. I’m all ears for option B.
I feel like I’m going in circles and I’m starting to wonder if all the headache is worth it for a theme (Claue) that can’t function nor can their web developers figure out how to fix the issues. Should I just ask for my money back and find another theme that is actually compatible with WooCommerce?
I’m getting tired of repeating myself over and over on this issue. I just want the damn theme fixed, I don’t want any temporary workarounds. Why is this so hard to accomplish?

Wanted to add that when I first intalled Claue – with AJAX enabled – the blog pages worked fine with the header images appearing as they should on top. I know it did, because we even blogged about our new website and we worked hard to figure out how to get those images to show on top and we successfully got the blog page looking as we wanted. I even had to use “flowers” for an image so it looked nice in the header place on top.
But the latest Claue update to 1.3 from 1.1, is where the blog page is now broken.

1. I mean you try this action on ANOTHER SITE if you have. I’m really want to reproduce this issue, but I can’t
2. Regarding Jetpack, I will use another solution for the plan B, you don’t need to remove it.
So – you’re saying Claue will only operate on websites where the speed is slow and images are hosted on the webserver – therefore Claue theme will end up hurting our google rank just to get the Claue theme to function properly. 3. I don’t say that, I just want to describe for you the problem
anw, We are sorry for the issue you having with it, We are always willing to listen to customer feedback and improve our product. Please stay tuned, we will fix the problem for you ASAP and will inform you when it done.

BTW, I saw the images on your size is very big (about 1MB / image), it’s not necessary, it will make your website slowly, so if possible, please optimize them before upload
