Product Page When Clicking Variation not correct picture is shown

HI Harry,

what’s going on?

I have a problem with the variation pictures on the product page.

Once the color variation yellow is clicked it changes to the wrong picture.

For example on this product https://www.fashionchingu.com/kpop-fashion/exo-clothing/blue-fancy-sweater-sehun-exo/

When you click a little bit through the variations you can see that it sometimes changes the picture to a wrong one.

It’s not that of a big deal, but maybe you have a quick idea.

it is a bug.

We had this discussion here previously:

And like in the previous post (from the link) you told me, the feature got implemented.

But now it has the bug that I explained in my first post (on this post).

Hi Harry,

I nearly deactivated every plugin. After deactivating Disqus and Contact Form7 the errors in the screenshot were gone.

Problem is still there.

Then deactivated “WooCommerce Variation Swatch” -> IT worked now.

So there have to be some complications with the Variation Swatch plugin.

Hi,

You have to choose color and size to correct color.

If you don’t want the user have to select both color and size you have to upload color gallery for each color http://prntscr.com/n4pdcj

Harry,

the plugin Variation Swatches “destroys” normal functionality of Woocommerce. I have set a thumbnail for the variation AND it should be displayed once the (in this case) color is clicked. As I said before – once the plugin variation swatches is deactivated it works as it should.

So please give this to plugin author so that in the next update everything will be fine.

I think I will switch now on these here until you fixed that bug:

If you don’t use gallery color swatch i recommend use free version of plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/woo-variation-swatches/

It work well with our theme.

I am not happy with this solution.

You do not want to solve the problem. It’s a bug of your plugin.

Whether you do not understand the problem or you do not care. I dont know.

The plugin author don’t fix so i have to recommend you use other plugin, 🙁

alright thanks for your effort!

I found now the source of the defect maybe you will get an idea as well.

So I tried it on this product here: http://www.fashionchingu.com/producttesting/?product=members-name-blackpink-backpack

And I deleted all pictures and assigned them new one by one. And I realized that in that moment when I am using a picture for a variation, WHICH IS ALREADY IN THE GALLERY it starts to fuk things up.

I come to this because I found that somehow some products are working and some doesn’t.

Maybe you have an idea how to fix it now, or the plugin author gets convinced that is the fault of the plugin.

Red is not working because the same picture is used in the “Product Gallery” NOT in the “Thumbnail” – The thumbnail of the product seems to be irrelevant for this problem.

I fixed the issue on your site by change permalink to “Post name” http://prntscr.com/n5gunb

For the Grey Variation you use different product pictures as well.

On your site I see 2 different images in media. I wrong when thought thumbnail image same as variation image when upload different http://prntscr.com/n5p69c but i check again on your site it still 2 different images.

The case on your site so strange, i do not find solution for it 🙁

I created product on our demo same way you did on your site without different image for gallery it still work well.

I create new account for you on our demo, please do not delete anything on our demo. Please try create new product like yours use exist image to check.

I tried it on the demo now. I think you can delete my account now.

1. I can not find the plugin settings. I think you are using the code not as a plugin on your site? Could that be .. idk?

2. it works well on your demo. I think it works well because when I click on variation picture a new URL is created. The main image (the image from gallery is this here) http://janstudio.net/claue/demo/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Bobbi_Chunky_Pom_Beanie4.jpg

The image with dimension in name was generated by WooCommerce plugin and it has same like on your site
