Hi Harry,
Thanks for the support and issue explanation.
One more question -Everybody suggests us to use child-theme.
Child theme consists of few files and we wanted to do some customization, that’s why we activated main theme.
But now again theme update came. Every-time we can’t update whole lists of files while updation.
Please help us to resolve this issue
Thanks & Regards
Priyanka

Hi,
I recommend use child theme to contain your customize code. When you update you only need to update parent theme and don’t need to update the files in child theme. If you update files in child theme the customize code you did will be remove.
Best regards

Hi Harry,
But my question is Child theme only consists of style.css and functions.php file.
We did customization in path \wp-content\themes\claue\core\libraries\vendors\woocommerce\templates\ customised files
Also we changed the content of header file and some changes in )\wp-content\themes\claue\views\header
Then how can we make changes in those files using child theme?
Do we have to transfer/copy all customised files to child-theme?
I know these questions are a bit silly. But I’m new to WordPress so don’t know the exact flow or working.
Please guide me on the same.
Thanks & Regards,
Priyanka

Yes,
1. For WooCommerce please copy file to child-theme > woocommerce > customized file like the guide to override file on top of file of WooCommerce http://take.ms/o9EDL
2. For header please copy header layout you customize to child-theme > views > header
Best regards

Hello Harry,
You mean to say- Activate the Child-theme and copy all customised files into the child-theme with correct path.
Then upload the updated theme i.e. main claue theme. After uploadation of main theme file, is there no need to activate main -theme again?
As at a time we can only activate one theme either child or main?
Please explain.
Thanks & Regards,
Priyanka

Hello Priyanka,
Yes, please copy all customize files to child-theme and activate child-theme. In future you just update parent theme don’t need to update child theme and activate child theme again.
Best regards
