Slide Cart Improvement

Hi Harry,
Hope you are fine.

Is there any chance to add another button named: Continue Shopping in the sliding cart?

When a customer adds a product to the cart, the slide or popup cart appears, most of the customers don’t pay attention to X button which closes the cart and thinks they have to go to cart page or checkout.

Is there any chance to add this to the cart?

I don’t mean that this button go to shop page, I want when the user clicks on that, the slide gets closed.
The same function as X button.

You can add by copy file mini-cart.php in claue > core > libraries > vendors > woocommerce > template > cart to claue-child > woocommerce > cart and change code on line 146 to

<p class="woocommerce-mini-cart__buttons buttons"><?php do_action( 'woocommerce_widget_shopping_cart_buttons' ); ?> <a class="close-cart button mt__10"><?php esc_html_e( 'Continue Shopping', 'claue' );?></a></p>

What about the popup cart?

It can have 3 bottons too.

Cart, checkout and continue shopping which closes the popup.

I’m not using popup, but not a bad idea to add this too popup too.

On Popup it now has “Continue Shopping” and “Checkout” button. I don’t think it need “Cart” button.

Yes it does. But continue shopping on the popup, goes to /shop page, I think for better ux, it’s better that it closes the popup.

But it’s up to you.

And then I synced the .pot template and then synced the translation. But the translation doesn’t change!

1. I will improve in popup.

2. Please go to Loco > theme > claue > edit template > sync > save and after that try translate again.

I ask this because you cannot realize the Persian Language number!

You have edit template https://prnt.sc/tvjw2z > sync save and after that go to Claue > edit language > sync > save > translate

Hi Harry,

I exactly was doing this.

Our difference is you probably have changed the mini-cart.php in the main theme (Claue) I guess, and I added the changes to the child theme.

So we understand that Loco doesn't get the strings on the child-theme or I have to go to the claue-child on the process of the Loco translation to get the strings on the child-theme.

Maybe those who have activated the child-theme, should choose the child-theme in the beginning of the process.

But doesn’t matter, if this is the final change on the file, I added the changes to the main theme and all done: https://prnt.sc/tvkh4o

Yes, if you add in child theme you have to go to Loco > Theme > Claue-child to translate.

What about clearing the cart?
Most of the users on the desktop and all the users on mobile, don’t know that they can click on the product and remove it from the cart.

I think it’s not a bad idea to add the clear/empty the cart button too under the all.

This plugin adds a total clear the cart button, so it means for better UX, and for users who have lots of products on their cart, a total clear button would be nice.

I think it not good idea, not all úe want empty their cart, if you wabt you can install plugin for your site.
