      A few issues i’m having with the slideshow feature:

       

      How do I have different images or different image sizes between mobile/desktop versions of the website?

      What does Margin/Padding actually do? I’ve experimented with them but they don’t seem to make any sort of change to the image.

      How do I modify image width? I seem to be able to effect image height but not width. Also I’d like for both width and height to actually resize the image instead of just cropping it. Is this possible?

      Hi,

      The slider on desktop and mobile use same image. it will auto resize image to fit to screen resolution.

      It now on mobile the slider fixed height is 160px.

      I see your image have different dimension ( 2 images is 1838 x 721 and one 1600 x 768 ) you should upload image have same dimension or same ratio

      Thanks Harry, that answered some of my questions but I’m still confused about a few things.

      1. I still don’t know what margin/padding control, they don’t seem to have any effect on any image I upload.
      2. What is the proper image ratio?
      3. Even an image with 160px seems to be stretched out to the edges of the the screen. What I’d like is to have a mobile-friendly image at full resolution like pictured below.

      Yes we’re talking about the hero banner. We’re more focused on making a nicer mobile experience than a desktop, since most of our clients shop from their phones.

      Hi,

      It now the slider integrated with theme use background image for slide so it will cover the height and width of content so the image will stretch.

      You can use other app for banner slider https://apps.shopify.com/banner-slider
