Woocommerce Product Required Fields (Ajax Cart)

Hi,
I am trying to add some extra input fields in our eshop products with the help of the following plugins.

Product Input Fields for WooCommerce

Product Addons for Woocommerce

Both plugins are working properly, extra input fields appearing properly in product page but I am facing the following issue.
When an input field is required, the product should not be added to the cart.
At my case the product is not added in the cart (Correct) but Ajax Cart is called and the Side Cart is triggered, so it appears empty.

How could I avoid triggering the side cart in such a case and showing a message “Please fill up the required field” instead.

I have changed the template to one of the defaults (e.g. Twenty Twenty) and everything works properly.

Hi,

The issue because these plugin doesn’t support Ajax Add to Cart. Please go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Add to cart behavior and uncheck 2 last fields.

Hi,
thanks for your response.
In fact there is no support for Ajax Add to Cart in every similar plugin. Even in the official WooCommerce Product Addons.
I know that disabling those 2 options, I can bypass the problem but I would like to give a better solution.
e.g. Disable Add to Cart button if required fields are not filled or selected. I wonder if you use somewhere such a function in order to modify it in functions.php

Hi Spiros,

By default our theme disable “Add to cart” button when required field not filled or selected. You can refresh product page to check. Please contact plugin author to check this.

Hi,
it is true that the theme checks required attributes (color, size etc) and disables “Add to Cart” button but not Custom input fields as text field in my case. An extra check is needed between the template and the Product Addon Plugin.

Relating to my subscription, the renewal has been paid since last month.

1. Could you up your invoice of subscription that will help us update your account info.

2. Did you try Product Addon Plugin with default theme (StoreFront or Twenty Twenty)? Let me know if the plugin work well with these theme, if not please contact to plugin author.
