Thanks for all your help on this, I have given up on the BuddyBoss Wall and Media and found another amazing plugin that has file upload, likes, emoji’s and more! Everything looks very pretty now 🙂 So all is good in the world again 😉

Those icons are coming from the font awesome classes.
You can check this link https://fontawesome.com/icons/ reply?style=solid
this one we used for reply.

You can ask your developer to add awesomeness icons using custom CSS code like in below example.

Which plugins would you like me to install? Do you mean the BuddyBoss Wall and Media plugins as these are already installed but the icons for like, photo, bin and reply are all buttons instead of the icons.

BuddyBoss have come back with this:

Wall and Media plugins add more features to the buddypress pages but your theme seems to creating button layout for the activity sections. You can ask their support if they can help creating icons in place of buttons.

Hi Harry, it’s a BuddyBoss plugin rather than a Buddypress plugin:

This is the one that enables users to ‘Like’ posts:

BuddyBoss Wall

and this is the one to enable users to add photos to their posts:

BuddyBoss Media

I’m wondering whether it’s because I use some Buddypress templates in Claue-child and it might be preventing the buttons from appearing. Will speak to BuddyBoss again.

Hi there Harry,

That made the post button longer so it wasn’t so hidden so it’s an improvement (see screenshot).

I spoke to BuddyBoss about this one as I use their Wall and Media plugins for uploading images and allowing users to ‘like’ posts in Buddypress. The buttons should actually be nice icons (see attached), so BuddyBoss think Claue might be overriding Buddypress or BBpress templates somewhere, this is what they said ‘Seems like your theme styling the buddypress activity page options’

Do you know if Claue does do this as it’s weird how they are buttons instead of cute icons?
