that’s not what I want. I need a text area that’s different for each category.
Is there a way to add such an extra text area to the default fields that define a category? A category now has a number of fields like ‘title’, ‘slug’, ‘description’,… Can we add one that’s ‘text’?

is there a way to create a completely new text area to a category? Make a category have a title, description (by default) and an extra text area. Where the title and description are on top and the extra text area is below the products on the category shop page.

another question : how can I add some text block on the shop pages per category below the list of products? When I edit the page ‘shop’ then all I add is added above the list of products.

Hi Harry,

I’ve meanwhile activated a child theme successfully and added the file header-3.php to the child theme.
I then deleted the lines 99-100 from the original file
<input class=”w__100 jas-ajax-search” type=”text” name=”s” placeholder=”<?php echo esc_html__( ‘Search for…’, ‘claue’ ); ?>” />
<input type=”hidden” name=”post_type” value=”product”>

and replaced it with this : <?php echo do_shortcode (‘[wcas-search-form]’) ?>

But now I find that when I don’t find any results, I can’t close the black overlay that opens.

Hi Harry,

I noticed the WordPress installation doesn’t use a child theme. Could you help me set this up? I guess not having a child theme results in loss of modifications and customizations when a new version of the Claue theme is installed?

Hi Harry,

one more question. Is there a way to have the search box in the header section, instead of the search icon which then leads to the search box?
That’s just more user friendly (less clicks).
