Update theme only

How can i update the theme only to latest version without losing any data already on the website. I’ve downloaded the wordpress zip install file only .

Hi,

If you don’t edit any code in theme you can update theme without losing anything.

Hi there ,

Okay i installed the envato toolkit , got the api key and activated it on wordpress . But the theme option to update is not showing at all . Waited an hour still nothing. Now i was wondering if i upload all the files of the new theme update via filezilla and overwrite all the old files will the theme be updated like that .

Hi,

Have 2 ways for you can update theme.

1. Update theme via envato toolkit.

2. Update theme by download latest package from ThemeForest and upload via FileZilla.

Make sure you didn’t edit any code of theme, if you edited you need backup.
