  Dear JanStudio, we started to build our webpage with Gecko Parent theme, we did not know the existence of a Child theme. How could we change from Parent to CHild without loosing our modifications and editions? We are newbies with this, if you could please guide us, the steps we need to take!

  You need to do two steps.
  1. Backup theme options in Gecko theme options
  2. Backup widget by this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-importer-exporter/
  That’s all.
