After updating WordPress to version 5.6, the sticky header is not working anymore on my site.

Can you please check this on your side?

I investigated more on this and found this is coming from the jQuery update of WordPress on the version 5.6

After downgrading the WP with this plugin, the header sticky came back.

This morning i can’t update WordPress but now I update WordPress to 5.6 and it work well.

Please update new package for parent theme and use your customize in child theme.

We fixed sticky when empty header top on new package.

I did exactly what you said. Can you please read my replies one more time ?

I have updated the parent theme and also updated the WordPress.
When I use (activate) parent theme not child theme, the sticky header works fine.

But when I activate child theme, sticky header is not working however it’s working on WordPress 5.5.3

So it means the custom theme.js (attached file) on my child theme needs to get compatible.

Can you please overview above replies?

Did you override header layout in child theme? If you override child theme please update file in parent theme in child theme and merge your change to child theme.

Thank you for sharing the solution.

I realized even if we don’t have the header text and leave it empty, we will have a narrow gray header top which there was not in the previous versions.

Will you fix this on the next updates? https://prnt.sc/wc86xy

I am hiding header text via CSS if I’m not using that:

.header__top {
display: none !important;
}

You need remove text in theme option > header > center promo.

I am using the updated theme on the Look.ws

the theme version is 2.0.9 and the child-theme is activated without customization.

Harry, I need to use that file on my look.ir site because I use customization on look.ir

On look.ws I just imported the demo and installed the updated theme (2.0.9)

I use this domain for staging.

I don’t need to use the file you sent for me on this site.

I updated the file you gave me on look.ir and removed the hide css.

It’s working. But I wonder why it is like that on the staging imported look.ws

You can check look.ir now. It’s updated.
