2.  For the newsletter plugin you can use https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/

This issue because PHP version of your site outdated.

Could you ask hosting support to help you upgrade to PHP version 5.6 or higher. We recommend update to verion PHP 7.0 for better performance.
