      I have been back and forth with Woocommerce regarding this issue.  Basically, when a customer places an order, which is set up via PayPal, the order completes fine on the Pay Pal side, but status stays “pending” and never moves to processing, which prevents the notification emails from Woocommerce from sending receipt to customer.  I have to manually change the orders to “processing” in order for this to work.  After several attempts by woocommerce, they can not figure it out.  they believe its conflicting with theme or other plugin.  Have you heard about this or can you assist with the issue?

      Hi,

      Could you try switch to default theme “Store Front” to check or deactivate plugin one by one and check again. Theme’s function can’t affect to back-end.

      I switched to Storefront in live view and completed an order.  It still does not change to “processing”

      Yes, so the issue not cause by theme, please try deactivate plugin one by one.

      I have yet to get this to work along with restoring the wishlist hearts on products.  it works on sexyleggingsusa.com testing area which has same version woocommerce, but older claue.  after testing all of the plugins, I think we have to assume it might be claue theme? But if I use another theme in live preview mode the hearts don’t show there either, but wouldn’t that be because the css code is not in that theme?

      Hello, I’ve been having ‘Pending Payment’ against some of my orders too lately. I’ve contacted these customers asking them to complete payment and if anything went wrong at checkout but not one has come back to me to help me understand whats happened. I’m wondering if they have attempted to pay via card in the Paypal screen and something has started to go wrong Paypals end. I’ve never had this before Feb, so there is a possibility it’s when I changed to Claue, but I can’t see how a theme would affect that unless it’s affecting checkout on some customers screens. Sorry I don’t have an answer for you, I’m scratching my head about it too.

      Hi,

      I think this issue related new update of WooCommerce, but not everyone have this issue.

      Could you try cleanup the database http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-clean-up-your-wordpress-database-for-improved-performance/ and check again.

      I will try that thx. Cause nothing else has worked. turning off one plugin at a time did not either.  Woocommerce or Paypal have not fixed this for me to date.  Just giving me things to try that i already did.  Very frustrating.

      tried that.  still doesn’t work.  I’m thinking the only thing that may work is reinstall woo, but i’m afraid to mess with that as well.  so much work has been put into settings etc. this sucks no one can find out what is causing this.

      Strange thing.  Today this started working. It was after I upgraded a few plugins, which is really weird since we tried turning off each plugin one at time and nothing happened.  The problem now is that after it switches orders to processing status, it sends (2) notifications to admin email instead of 1.  Not sure if customer is getting 2 also, but do you know of a way to fix this duplicating issue of notification emails to admin?

      Hi,

      Please check your setting in WooCommerce > Settings > Email.

      Is there any field you put same email 2 times?
